MY DESK /2022. plywoodIn designing my desk it was important to make something highly functional that could adapt to different circumstances, (such as the ledge seen in the first picture). The main leg is comprised of two storage compartments, the smaller leg features a hinge system that can become a second level in the right circumstances. One of the joys of design is being able to make things that impact your day to day life.
ZINE /2021 digital and traditional collageExploring the combination and contrasts of traditional and digital collage, I designed and bound 2 copies of this zine. The contents of this piece is a representation of myself, the things I love most and the intense experience of entering college.
RE-BAG /2022 plastic bags, pillow stuffing
After saving bags for the better part of a year I finally put them to good use. Playing off the idea of upcycling and functionality I decided not to change their use, but simply make them more reusable. Ironing and sewing pieces of plastic together, I strengthened the material to something more durable. In the design I chose to emulate the shape of high fashion handbags, traditionally a symbol of status, this form questions or fabricated hierarchies and norms in a sustainable way.

LIVING PILLOW /2022 sustainably sourced fabricsConsidering the applications of natural forms for calming and therapeutic uses in architecture and interior design, I devised a way that could be applied on a smaller, more personal scale, a huggable pillow simulating plant life. After visiting the thrift store for various fleeces, scarves and a pillow, I experimented with natural dyes such as coffee, camomile and even artichoke, cutting and sewing the materials into their final form.
ART-BLOCKS /2021 off-cut wood As I began my journey into sculpture, I was very interested in the way different objects work together. This interest spanning through furniture and design to drawing, creating balance between forms was very important to me. In this project I created blocks that could be oriented however the user wants, staining and drawing on them I added character.
